Meet Your Makeup Artist
I'm Leslie, I started doing makeup over 15 years ago. I was in college pursuing a business degree when my friend asked me to do her makeup for a music video. Back then, I was pretty high maintenance with my beauty and fashion routine. Then became obsessed with makeup.
It's no mistake that beauty came naturally to me because I grew up in a hair salon. My mother has been a hairstylist for over 40 years. She had two salons in New York before we moved to Georgia in 2001. I learned so much not only about beauty but how to offer good customer service. Despite my mom’s successful career she didn't want me to follow her path. Like most West Indian parents she wanted me to be a doctor, lawyer, nurse etc. However, I felt differently.
After attempting varying degree paths I settled with B. A. in finance but I kept picking up that makeup brush. I juggled makeup and a 9-5, doing everything from runway, to photo shoots, to teaching makeup classes and even some TV/Film. Then I realized bridal should be my main focus. My business background combined with my salon upbringing makes me perfect for the level of service brides need.
My career is most rewarding when a previous bridal client hires me to do their baby shower makeup. I feel honored to be apart of multiple big events in their lives. Throughout my journey, I've learned so much about people and how to provide quality service. My clients have all been so wonderful. I'm so thankful they choose to book with me, time and time again.
